MAC Pro Conceal and Correct Palette Review + Pictures

MAC Pro Conceal and Correct Palette in Light

This handy little palette (approx 7.5cm by 7.5cm) contains four Studio Finish Concealers (NC15, NC20, W10 and NW20) and two Studio Finish Corrector shades (pale yellow and pale pink). Enriched with antioxidants and suited for all skin types, they can be used individually or combined to perfectly match any skin tone. This palette is useful to have as it is an all-in-one and can be used all over the face to cover a range of problems including dark circles, redness and blemishes. I find these concealers blend well onto the skin and provide good coverage. The creamy shades can be used all year round to suit your skin tone as well.

In general, for both concealers and foundations, to help correct skin tone:

Green helps to counteract high colouring and to conceal dilated capillaries.
Lilac or pink counteract sallow skin colours.
Peach and pink counteract dark circles around the eyes and are suitable for darker skin tones.
White or cream help to correct unevenness in the skin pigmentation.
Yellow helps to counteract the appearance of dark circles around the eyes.

Dior Luminous Graphic Eye Palette - Rosewood Glow

Luminous Graphic Eye Palette
Eyeshadow, highlighter and liner

What it says:

Within the exclusive 3 Couleurs Glow sliding case lies the secret to naturally luminous, dramatic and couture eyes. In 3 easy steps, our 3 new-generation fusion formulas enhance your eyes with nude or pastel shades, a highlighter and a liner to define them.

1. A satiny nude eyeshadow with an ultra-fine texture melts into the skin. Apply to eyelid and blend.

2. A highlighter with a wet-look finish illuminates the eyes. Dab on the center of the eyelid and the inner and outer corners of the eye.
3. A powder liner is applied to the upper lash line to define the eyes and create the ultimate fashion touch.

Included in this sleek Dior palette is 3 different textured, wearable, natural eyeshadows that are soft and sheer when you want them to be. With more layering they can become slightly more pigmented. The palette itself is quite small but it is great for creating a subtle, smokey eye. I love the colours and they are perfect to wear everyday. The highlight colour is not glittery, but adds a nice shimmer. It's handy having three usable colours in one palette, including a matte black liner, which can be used wet or dry.

ModelCo Fibre Lash

Brush on False Lashes

This product was a present I received from Boots. Retailing at £35 it is quite a pricey product. The instructions are on the back of the box and it is a simple and straightforward process to apply both the mascara and the fibres.

I found the mascara to be quite wetwhen applying and although the brush is curved, I didnt really like the shape of the wand. It would be better if it were tapered.

After applying the first coat of mascara I then applied the nylon lash fibres which adhere to your lash follicles.

I would describe it as applying dry cotton wool! It is quite weird; however I saw a difference. I could see that my lashes were longer and thicker. It's at this point I started to notice it was slighty clumpy unfortunately.

After I applied the first coat of mascara and then the fibres, my lashes become quite dry and this was where it began to clump.
To finish I then applied a second coat of mascara and I waited about 30 seconds to apply this.

I also applied just the mascara to my bottom lashes and it made both my top and bottom lashes stick together a little. I wouldn't recommend doing this (use your normal mascara).

There are tips written on the back of the box such as:

1.      Look downwards when applying lash fibres to ensure that no fibers fall into your eyes.

2.     For best results wait 30 seconds after application of lash fibres before applying second coat of mascara.

I was actually really pleased overall. It made my lashes thicker and longer. I would recommend using a eyelash comb to prevent your eyelashes becoming clumpy or even a heated eyelasher curler.
This product should last about 30+ applications and I also found it was easy to remove as it flaked off.
