The brushes are colour coded and
correspond to the key steps of the make up application; gold to create a
flawless base, purple to enhance eyes and pink for a perfect finish.
Since the brushes are synthetic
and are taklon bristles, they are ultra-soft and smooth. Taklon brushes are also more hygienic than
real hair brushes because they do not trap dead skin cells or bacteria. Taklon hair makes them easier to clean. They also have aluminum handles which make them extra light too.
I bought two sets and also three
individual standing brushes.
Stippling brush – my
favourite brush! A dual fiber brush which creates an airbrushed look. I use in
circular motions as if I am buffing in.
Foundation brush – probably the brush I use the least. I prefer to use the stippling brush as it is more flexible.
Blush brush – a dense brush designed to
contour and define cheeks, it does exactly that!
Core Collection
The core collection includes 4
full sized brushes;
1) Detailer brush - precision
cut to conceal problem areas.
2) Pointed foundation
brush – this is perfect for applying under eye concealer.
3) Buffing brush – perfect
for powders and mineral powders to really work into the skin.
4) Contour brush – the perfect
size and shape to contour your face with
a highlighting product.
Starter Set
1) Base shadow brush - applies a smooth, flawless
foundation of colour.
2) Deluxe crease brush - an oversized brush designed for
effortless contouring.
3) Accent brush – a small
brush designed for precision detailing, highlighting, and smudging.
4) Pixel-point eyeliner
brush – I found this brush to be too soft and not pointed enough, although
there is a new fine liner brush which would be much better for applying liquid
or cream eyeliner.
5) Brow brush – easy to
use to define your eyebrows.
If you are after affordable, quality brushes, then these are for you. They are easily washed and I haven't had any problem of shedding. I like the fact that most brushes are multi-purpose, easy to use and to put it simply, do their job!
