Real Techniques Brushes

The brushes are colour coded and correspond to the key steps of the make up application; gold to create a flawless base, purple to enhance eyes and pink for a perfect finish.

Since the brushes are synthetic and are taklon bristles, they are ultra-soft and smooth.  Taklon brushes are also more hygienic than real hair brushes because they do not trap dead skin cells or bacteria. Taklon hair makes them easier to clean. They also have aluminum handles which make them extra light too.

I bought two sets and also three individual standing brushes.

Stippling brush – my favourite brush! A dual fiber brush which creates an airbrushed look. I use in circular motions as if I am buffing in.
Foundation brush – probably the brush I use the least. I prefer to use the stippling brush as it is more flexible.
Blush brush – a dense brush designed to contour and define cheeks, it does exactly that!

Core Collection

The core collection includes 4 full sized brushes;

Contour brush, pointed foundation brush, detailer brush & buffing brush

1)              Detailer brush - precision cut to conceal problem areas.

2)            Pointed foundation brush – this is perfect for applying under eye concealer.

3)            Buffing brush – perfect for powders and mineral powders to really work into the skin.

4)           Contour brush – the perfect size and shape to contour  your face with a highlighting product.

Starter Set

An essential set to create eye definition;

Deluxe crease brush, base shadow brush, accent brush, pixel-point eyeliner brush & brow brush

1)             Base shadow brush - applies a smooth, flawless foundation of colour.

2)            Deluxe crease brush - an oversized brush designed for effortless contouring.

3)            Accent brush – a small brush designed for precision detailing, highlighting, and smudging.

4)           Pixel-point eyeliner brush – I found this brush to be too soft and not pointed enough, although there is a new fine liner brush which would be much better for applying liquid or cream eyeliner.

5)           Brow brush – easy to use to define your eyebrows.

If you are after affordable, quality brushes, then these are for you. They are easily washed and I haven't had any problem of shedding. I like the fact that most brushes are multi-purpose, easy to use and to put it simply, do their job!

Sheer Shirts

Chic and Casual Shirts

I was looking for a sheer shirt online because I wanted different tops to wear with jeans and something with a really nice print to wear in the Spring. I came across 3 that I love!

18 and East

I actually found this cut-out shirt on the New Look website. It was also in the sale at £11.00! On the 18 and East website it is £38.00.
This is also probably my favourite shirt of the three. I love the colour, print and although I wasn't sure about the cutout shoulders, I love it! I got a size 8 and it fits perfectly.

Forever 21

I also really wanted a polka dot shirt and found this one from Forever 21. It is exactly what I have been looking for. Such a chic yet simple print! I got a size medium as I wanted it to be slightly oversized.

Missguided

The next bold print sheer shirt I found was from missguided.co.uk and I like the classic  black and white leopard print. I got a size 8 but it is large to size. It isn't available on the website anymore but was £14.99.

ModelCo Fibre Lash

Brush on False Lashes

This product was a present I received from Boots. Retailing at £35 it is quite a pricey product. The instructions are on the back of the box and it is a simple and straightforward process to apply both the mascara and the fibres.

I found the mascara to be quite wetwhen applying and although the brush is curved, I didnt really like the shape of the wand. It would be better if it were tapered.

After applying the first coat of mascara I then applied the nylon lash fibres which adhere to your lash follicles.

I would describe it as applying dry cotton wool! It is quite weird; however I saw a difference. I could see that my lashes were longer and thicker. It's at this point I started to notice it was slighty clumpy unfortunately.

ModelCo Fibre Lash Mascara

After I applied the first coat of mascara and then the fibres, my lashes become quite dry and this was where it began to clump.
To finish I then applied a second coat of mascara and I waited about 30 seconds to apply this.

I also applied just the mascara to my bottom lashes and it made both my top and bottom lashes stick together a little. I wouldn't recommend doing this (use your normal mascara).

There are tips written on the back of the box such as:

1.      Look downwards when applying lash fibres to ensure that no fibers fall into your eyes.

2.     For best results wait 30 seconds after application of lash fibres before applying second coat of mascara.

I was actually really pleased overall. It made my lashes thicker and longer. I would recommend using a eyelash comb to prevent your eyelashes becoming clumpy or even a heated eyelasher curler.
This product should last about 30+ applications and I also found it was easy to remove as it flaked off.
